ABOUT US

Beaumont Farmington Hills, formerly Botsford General Hospital, is a 330-bed teaching hospital with a Level II trauma designation offering a full complement of specialties and services. Located right outside of downtown Detroit, our community-based hospital sees a diverse patient population from urban Detroit to the suburban community of Farmington Hills.

Our emergency department is incredibly busy with an annual volume of 65,000. The department was recently renovated in 2020 and has 51 beds, including 3 fully-equipped, state of the art trauma bays, rooms specifically designed for psychiatric care, a “fast track” section, and a soon-to-be ED observation area.

This residency program is a three-year program designed to develop residents into mature, responsible emergency medicine physicians who provide and plan quality emergency health services. The patient volumes and acuity, in conjunction with the clinical autonomy afforded by this program and our attendings, provides you with the hands-on skills and experience necessary to manage any emergency department.
